Drink More Water

A couple of years ago I cut out sodas and juices and began to increase my water in take. It is definitely one of the best changes I have made in my life and I have experienced so many benefits that I am now an active proponent of staying hydrated.
Those are my main reasons for drinking more water but the benefits are endless between flushing out toxins and sodium, keeping your digestive system running right, preventing headaches, and many more.
I realize this is hard life change because it’s so “boring” without taste. You can transition using teas (don’t add sugar! or, if you must, start cutting back on the amount every couple of weeks), cutting more and more water into your juices, infuse your water with fruits, or, use this tip I saw on Pinterest where you customize a reusable bottle with hourly marks that you have to hit.
Try to get up to at least 2 litres as your daily default water intake. When it becomes a habit, your body will let you know when you haven’t had enough. Best of all, you learn the difference between being hungry and being thirsty which is one of the main hurdles of weight loss.

- Being a public figure, one of the major things I noticed was my skin cleared up and got nicer. I’ve been fortunate that my skin has never been too too bad but now I have even less frequent breakouts. I know people who don’t drink enough water and when they complain about their skin or ask about what products to try, I ask if they are drinking enough water, and the answer is generally “no.” It’s so much easier on the wallet than going to Sephora, so why not give it a try?
- Drinking water helps control everything from hunger and caloric intake to the severity of hangovers. When I drink water throughout the day and before/during meals, it makes me feel full so I generally graze or eat less. When I drink water between drinks on nights out and when I get home, it slows my alcohol intake and helps flush the toxins out so I’m not so regretful the next morning. (#ProTip: take a multivitamin with a full glass of water before you go to bed and it will minimize your hangover as well).
