Adult Obesity in America and Processed Food!

The good news is we are living longer; the bad news is we are in worse shape now more than ever in history. Oh the irony!
  • More than one-third (34.9% or 78.6 million) of U.S. adults are obese.
  • Obesity-related conditions include heart disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes and certain types of cancer, some of the leading causes of preventable death.
  • The estimated annual medical cost of obesity in the U.S. was $147 billion in 2008 U.S. dollars; the medical costs for people who are obese were $1,429 higher than those of normal weight.

What happened, you ask? Less exercise and processed food!

I remember when kids would go outside and play all day only to return at dinner time, now kids sit playing electronic games. Kids use to walk or ride their bikes to get to where they want to go; now they are driven.

Food use to be preservative free and there was no such thing as GMO which your body can’t break down so stores as fat. Fast food was eaten maybe once per week, now it’s eaten once per day!

Now, the question is do you want to live longer with quality of life or merely exist until your last breath? If your answer is live longer with “Quality of Life” that’s great. If we can help please contact us now!
