Trim the Fat using Timed Training!

The key to maximizing trimming the fat from your body through training is to increase your intensity and I do this a few different ways.
1
Total Time vs Workout Time
The most important time to measure is when you start and finish the work load of a training session because this is the part of training that transforms your body. I’m not saying the warm-up and cooldown are not important because they are necessary for recovery and preventing injury; they are part of your total workout time.

2
Keep Pace
Control your recovery time between sets by keeping it the same or shorter each workout. I like doing this by after each set walking a certain distance and back to immediately do another set, or by keeping track of the time between sets. Keeping the muscles working at the same pace helps you measure your intensity week to week. It also keeps you from letting distraction interfere with your progress.

3
You Are Competing With Yourself
When you are done with the workload record your time, now compare it to the last time you had doing this same workout. Try to improve your time every week; you’ll be trimming the fat on your way to a higher Fitness Level and a leaner body.
